Breast augmentation refers to a plastic surgery procedures that change the size or shape of the breast. Breast implants and breast reduction fall into this category. Breast lift refers to the surgical movement of the nipple and areola to a higher location on the chest. Breast lift is primarily used to correct sagging breasts or breasts that have lost their firmness and shape. Breast lifts do not necessarily involve breast augmentation, like breast implants, but every patient's needs vary.
